Music- Marilyn Manson (don't ask me how I got it) :D
Today for LA, we watched BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE. It's a show that I've always wanted to watch ever since it came out. That's just me, I guess. I just can't fit in with the crowd. lalala. For those who don't already know, it's a documentary film on gun violence and the recent shootings in Columbine High School in America. The film really opened my eyes to what's going on on the other side of the blue globe we all live on.
It really made me reconsider if everything or every idea that is accepted by the masses is correct. We are all influenced by the same stuff everyday, namely the western media. I remember one phrase said in the show The League of Extrodinary Gentlemen-- The Americans shoot all over to get the target, but the English aim and hit the target with one bullet. I hope I don't get jailed for this comment. I didn't say it. I'm just lifting it from the movie! Okay.
You know, when they showed all the stuff about how America actually trained Osama to be like a CIA agent and all the footage from the high school shooting, I really wanted to cry. Somehow in your heart, you just want the whole world to be a better place for everyone to live in. But when even the people that share your blood aren't very nice to you, you can't really expect people of different colours to be nice to each other, right?
Yes, I think the show affected me a great deal. It did touch on one of my sensitive issues, you know. (indirectly) Oh well. I'm going to change my blog skin after I finish this post! :D
I know my blog has been very dead recently and it was because my com crashed for the second time in 2 months and my dad was really fed up spending money to repair it. Yes, we just got a new laptop! Yay! It's nothing fantastic, just an ordinary-looking flat thingy. haha.
Today was the MEP test. Everyone was either grabbing hold of Kamien (the $50.50 book) or notebooks. It sure was worth it, since for the A level class, we only had 30-40 mins to complete 40 marks worth of essay questions. Wonderful eh? :D To think the same thing will happen in the EOYS. rrah. I'm terribly frightened. I don't know if listening 3a is correct! I really can't tell if it's a lied or a recitative. ARGH. :( and the essay questions! I totally forgot a lot of them and 3/4 of the time, I had NO idea what I was rambling on about.
Wish me luck, people. :) I don't want to get a C. Really.
Then blah blah blah and we were soon deciding on the MEP concert programme. Yay and the CO peeps are going to play Give Me A Stick Of Rose (Geneve's translation)!! Actually it's song4 wo3 yi4 zhi1 mei2 gui4 hua1. Haha. Then Mrs Loke was commenting on how they couldn't possibly make up 50 mins worth of programme with so few pieces, so she and Ms Lin decided to throw in solos. Lalalala. First it was Jefferson's 3-min Cello solo, then was Rodion's 5-min piano solo, then came Pei Jean's 3-min piano thingy, then it was my turn. rrah. I'm struggling to get something ready for mid-year okay?!?!?! I'm serious! I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO PLAY. Merde. But congrats to Eme, who has taken over from me last year as MC. woot! you go gurl! :)
Oh well. Then I went back home. Then I ate. Then I slacked. Then I went to the com and here I am! :) Lalala.
What a nice world we live in. What a nice and loving place. Ahh. My heart's solace; my foot's bane. (random statement la)
I mumbled to myself not to mumble ever again- 5:36 AM
